Big difference between the Tour and Non-tour editions. Mine was a non-tour that is lower and much easier to drag the pegs. If you own the Goldwing Tour you wouldn't understand how low the bike is until you ride one. Can't understand all this "Peg dragging" on the new Wing. I have ridden all over Europe (Istanbul being the furthest from home ) , one up and two up - have NEVER touched a peg down , and I don't ride slowly (we have lots of nice twistly small bumpy roads in Ireland .... etc). Maybe when I have more miles on it , I will have got used to it and go round corners faster ? But the first 36,000 miles have all been fine. I do fancy a ride on the new Guzzi Stelvio , but suspect it would not be as good a touring bike as the wing ??
I'm not bragging and claiming to be a Rossi type rider. It wasn't just the pegs that drug, but the bottom of the belly pan I put on the bike. I drug the center of the Traxxion Dynamics skid plate......the center, while hitting a dip in the road. I have witnesses that saw the sparks fly and I had a groove down the center of the plate.
Believe it or don't believe it, it's your call but it is in fact true.
