Basically it's an audio and communication management system. Depending on the specific unit you purchase, it will integrate various combinations of your MP3 player, XM radio, rider to pillion communication, bike to bike communication, voice / audio prompts from your GPS unit or radar detector and pipe it all into you helmet speakers / ear phones. You can have music playing and when you start talking to your pillion or to another bike, the music is automatically attenuated so your speech always takes precedence without you having to turn the music down manually.
You can contact Louie Louie for info on where you might be able to locate the Pro7 Sport. Autocom is phasing this unit out in favor of their new unit coming out soon. The Pro7 Sport is a great unit and right now, if you can still find one, they're on sale at 50% off. A really great buy.
There is also a group buy going on in the Group Buy section for the Starcom1 Advance, which is another very good unit based on what I have read. These units are extremely modular so you have to pay close attention to what you are buying. Make sure you get something that not only addresses your current needs, but keep in mind what you might need down the road. They're not exactly inexpensive so put some money into doing it right up front.
