Battery failed...hoping to hear from Scorpion...

If I remember I'll do the same for my 2yr tired one and the replacement yuasa ready to go in.
(mine would be 9003 bulbs for the load)

I did mine on low beam, to reduce the effect of my 100w high beams, and pair of FF50s. On low I had stock output, no accessories on.

I just replaced my scorpion battery this morning that has been in the bike for 43 months. It was never on a battery charger. I did buy a yuasa last winter from Scott and installed that. I have nothing bad to say about the scorpion It did not leave me stranded at anytime and it gave me ample warning (clock resetting ) that it was failing. I would buy another one anytime. Just my two cents

Clutch lever out, engine in gear.....are you sure that the starter motor spins?

No, starter doesn't spin with clutch lever out and trans not in neutral. I've done what SteveR mentioned a few times when stopped at an intersection, but wasn't sure what would happen if you hit the starter while riding, so had to check it out for myself. Just went out to the garage, cranked up the silver bullet and went for a short "ride" (bike on centerstand). Hit the starter and nothing happened except the headlight goes dark, starter doesn't spin unless you pull the clutch lever &/or shift to neutral.
