Good morning everyone
The delicate aroma of French roast coffee freshly brewed is on its way to you, carried on the early morning breeze. Follow your nose and you'll find the pot of black gold ready and waiting for you.
It's 59°F, still dark, breezy (14 mph from the NW), and damp in Rockville. We'll not get any warmer than this all day, and will drop to the lower 50s midday before climbing back to where we are now around 1600 hours, then drop into the middle 40s overnight tonight. There's a high likelihood of rain showers between 1000 and 1400 hours.
There's a freeze watch, if you can believe it, for about eight hours starting Tuesday morning at 0200. Crazy.
The two traveling sisters are back here after spending more time in PA. They'll depart sometime this morning, one for Arlington VA and the other for Charlotte NC. After that the House of Fun will revert to its usual sleepy self.
I'll work a bit more today on the furniture refinishing project. I don't think I'm going to try to get the thing all the way down to fresh bare wood, but rather go for a general cleanup and partial removal of the old finish before I apply something new to even out the colors. I don't really know how it'll turn out but it'll use up a lot of sandpaper.
Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
