Hello fellow riders, looking for advice, my bike 2012 ST 1300 abs model. 5500 kms.
Due to where I live and my job I don't get to ride as much as much as I want.
The Clutch on this bike is slipping as in engine will runaway when riding by twisting the throttle but will lose speed.
It will work when the eng is cold, engine doesn't run away, but within a couple miles the problem returns.
clutch lever is very stiff and friction zone is near the end of lever travel. Feels to me like riding with the clutch lever pulled in.
I was using t6 rotellla 15/40 end oil. Changed back to Honda gn4 10/40 . No change in clutch feel
ive flushed and bled the clutch hydraulics, also no change in clutch operation.
is it possible for the slave clyinder to have seized ? Feels to me like the slave clyinder is not returning all the way, cause the lever to have no free play and the slipping clutch.
with only 5500 kms on this bike Im having a hard time believing that the friction plates are worn out, and ideas ?
and yes I do have warranty left. But Honda won't replace worn friction items I'm told .
