Thx Martin, nice to hear from a friendly face again!

7˚c/45f, overcast, almost calm….waiting for extremeweather Dave in a few hours, 85mph wind from west.
I’ve tied down the grill, the wastebins, secured outdoor furniture, etc.

First time in a long time with RED alert.

Yesterday was a nice solo walk uphill, and a beachwalk with the missuss after.

I have a Boeuf Bourguignon cooking, it will keep us fed and warm if the powerlines go down.

Happy Easter!

Morning all, and thanks for the startup, Martin.

I too have risen. Way earlier than I'd like to have, but whatcha gonna do? Going back to bed would have meant toss 'n turn and disturb the Mrs. Instead, I'm here to disturb all of you. Don't you feel special?

It's dreary and wet here, raining at 0C. It'll stay the same as the day progresses, but warm up to +5. Easter's funny. I recall having kids outside in shorts and t shirts doing Easter Egg hunts, and times it was a blizzard. Joys of an even that can vary occurring from March to late April.

Hop everyone has a great day.

Yes, I meant hop.

Bad Easter joke? Yes, egg-zactly.

Obo.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Martin.
Brenda has been using some of our coffee cups to color Easter eggs. Hopefully, you don't find an extra in yours!
Happy Easter, all.

It's foggy and 39, rising to 56 with on and off rain, predicted.

Yesterday started out nice at the track, but turned cold and windy as the day progressed. I used every piece of clothing in my Corner Marshall bag, and still wasn't warm, till around 8:00pm.
After dinner, I continued reading for a bit. I took a break from Tom Clancy, and finished book 13 of the Reacher series. I went back up to Amazon and downloaded book 14.

Today, we'll clean up a bit, and await our son Joe, D-I-L Megan, Elouise and Oliver. If they're lucky, they'll meet the new cats. They're getting less timid (the cats that is), but maybe not enough for a 3-year old.

On a different note, I was saddened to see the thread about the passing of @George. While we never met, his posts here made him feel like a friend.

Have a great day,
Steve

Good morning, all, and thanks for the cuppa, Martin. Hope there's more where that came from.

It's a very waterlogged Easter Sunday here; the rain's been falling for hours and it's still coming down pretty hard right now. It should ease up and then stop for a while, but the day will remain gloomy and the rain will be back later on. We may even get some wet snow/flurries tonight. Sigh. Current temp: 6°C/43°F; today's high: 8°C/46°F.

@STooRay: I hope you (and your property!) get through that storm OK, sounds nasty!

Actually, this morose weather is pretty appropriate for the way I've been feeling since yesterday, which is all kinds of sad, since we learned of the passing of George Catt from his son, Adam. Many of you never knew George, which is a shame. He was a fine, fine soul, a natural teacher, a mentor to all long-distance riders and a friend to everyone he came across. He was truly one of a kind. His shining light has gone out and I will miss him more than I can say - as will his family and the many, many people he touched. Ride on, Geo.

Everybody have a good one, stay safe, go safely and Happy Easter.

Patty

thanks for the start and great to hear some familiar faces
was starting to wonder there for a bit
could this be the end?
Could this mean that I'll have to figure out how to change my brake lights... alone... 🥵
Well it's going to be another nice day out here will tackle those brake lights with full confidence and maybe start my old convertible connect my fuel bypass to gerry can and see how the old spread bore likes five month gas - an easter tradition
Wish everyone a good one and hope everyone checks their tire pressure front tread depth brakes before they head out - steering head too- and don't forget the brake lights

He is risen!
Happy Sunday, regardless of whether you celebrate this holiday.
Lots to be grateful for, in my world.
On track to resurrect one of my lawnmowers, the 70ft wicked dead, lightning-struck tree that was threatening to fall and crush the chain-link dogpen in the back yard we never use has been removed, I pulled up 3 miles - seemingly - of poison ivy vines from the front flower bed that has never seeen a flower, and ST-OWNERS.COM is ALIVE and buzzing again!
Weird.
I had a dream that the forum disappeared overnight. Just woke up, went to find my ☕️ coffee brothers, but y'all weren't there.
Guys started messaging me on ADVrider, asking "Do you know anything about this...? it won't load on any of my devices..."
And then I dreamed folks were wandering over to farcebook where there was a new ST group... it was a scary dream, and it creeps me out still to think about it!
Kept asking myself, "Why didn't I download and save all those valuable articles, instead of just bookmarking them! Now that knowledge is lost and gone forever, like how to barbecue a wooly mammoth to feed 200 people!"
So as you can tell, I'm very excited to join y'all today
Another tragedy, narrowly averted.
Jerry Garcia said that after performing one of his songs... I wanna say it was Casey Jones but that's not right.
The Grateful Dead's "Casey Jones" is inspired by a traditional folk song about a real train engineer who died in a wreck.
But I digress.
As usual.
Oh well.
Today is a big Easter lunch with the family at the country club after church. And no, I am definitely not a member.
They would never have me, and I don't play golf.
I probably should go on and do stuff.
Did I tell you I'm excited to be here?
As I leave, I'll share with y'all this thought I had, as I struggled to come to terms with the possibility of losing st-owners forever... forgive me if you've heard this before, but it's real...
Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
Indeed it may.

I was referring to the club, but you make a good point.
I'm a "married-into" member of the family, although i am sure there are times my nieces and nephew (heck, even my wife sometimes) wish I weren't.
As for me, I just laugh it off, and refer to myself as the crazy uncle.
Every family needs a crazy uncle.
Groucho Marx said, "I would never join a club that would have me as a member."
Makes sense.

Good morning. Yeah, I’m late, but thanks for the start Martin.

Beautiful Easter morning. A little cool at 42, with high of 62, and nothing but blue skies do I see. Last nights storms seem to have blown the clouds away.

We’re gonna miss George. My favorite memory was George at the HUB at ArkanSToc. He filled his pannier lid with ice for a cooler, while he chopped fresh veggies for a stir fry, over an alcohol stove.

John

Morning Martin & All from mostly sunny, Southern Utah!

Currently it is 51F, up from 30F and heading for 72F. We've had a lot of winds, but right now it's pretty still. Later, they will be out of the SW @ 9 to 10mph.

I'm still shocked about George. My first encounter with him was his 666STOC on 07 07 2007, in Arizona. We even got together for a ride to the Long Beach motorcycle show one year.

666STOC

Chris and I are having a really hard time recovering from our trip to SoCal. And now she come down with something. :sick1:

We have the Sunday part of our World Wide Conference, so that will probably be most of our day.

Chris is still out, and when she wakes, we'll figure out breakfast. Pepsi(s) for later.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Sure missed all you reprobates in the past few days. Glad you're all back.

I'm back at my SIL's place in Lansdale PA, to (hopefully) finish the last clean out and junk removal from the garage at what used to be the aunt's apartment. The other sisters are due to arrive this evening.

It's currraining and about 55°F.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.
