"two wrecks" - RIP ACL
As some of you know I have a pair of middle of nowhere feed-n-seed elk skin gloves that I just LOVE! Paid $20 for them and have been looking for another pair (both in person and online) ever since with no luck.
They meet all my requirements for a good glove:
Comfort
Warm in winter
Cool in summer
Water resistant
Can take a soaking and remain pliable
Good tactile feel (pick up a dime)
Soft
No irksome seams
Durable
Don't break the bank
Here's an image of them:
Notice the unique set-in forefinger - that's what I love about them. Most other gloves (whether "designed" for motorcycling or not) I've found don't flex enough in the forefinger for all day comfort but this unique design makes these gloves, well, fit like a glove, especially with your hand on the grips. I also like the "key-hole" thumb design as well.
So, after looking for years for the same gloves I finally found them!
I happened across the Glove Lady while riding through Albuquerque, NM and despite my doubts of actually finding the same gloves again, they had them! Elk skin gloves with the set-in forefinger just like the ones I love.
On their webpage they show the gloves by the dozen but sold them to me in pairs. I stocked up on both the regular and the palm patch ones and am very happy. If you call, you can probably get them to sell them to you in pairs, also.
So, if you've been looking for good, inexpensive, elk skin gloves - here's the Glove Lady's contact info:
