Even in Cedar City, we have motorcycle idiots!

What is that old cliche? Goes something like " good judgement comes from experiece. Experience comes from poor judgement".
I think most of us can look back at our younger days and just shake our heads, wondering how we made it through those times when we were 10 ft tall and bullet proof.

But, we knew, when we screwed up, there would be Hell to pay. Today's youth (& many adults) don't think they should be held responsible for their stupid actions!

I am not ready to use such a broad brush to paint with. Thanks to today's trend in media, I think we hear mostly about the irrepsonsible ones while the large majority of the reponsible ones go unnoticed, and certainly unheralded.

yeah, the media does let us see more of one than the other. But then you watch what has been happening in Oregon & Minnesota, even older adults thinking that the laws don't apply.

Things have changed a lot since we were kids.

You can't gain experience if the result of poor judgement is death.

Indeed it's cheaper and faster to learn from OPE.
Similar to the idea of using OPM - Other Peoples' Money - this is Other People's Experience.
As @St-Gerard observes, I don't have time in my life to make all the mistakes myself.
I've said that for years upon years, and I'm still learning.
Unfortunately, I'm still making my own mistakes that I try to learn from.
