FCE's are now in stock at Ivan's. Those that had orders in - units will ship out on Monday.

I now have over 2000 miles with the FCE installed and the performance results are still impressive.

Anybody bought and installed the FCE ?? Hard or easy to install ? How's it effect the throttle response ? Is it worth buying ?

Re: Fuel Cut Eliminator for ST - On-Off Throttle Issue Resolved

Hi,
Cycleguy, JordanV has one installed and likes it.. I just purchased one after talking with Ivan... Mine is gonna be the worst case............ G2,turbo tom FPR and Staintune's. He said my bike "might" get a little worse fuel economy but it will get rid of the fuel cut......

When I get it I'll post the results.. My big problem is rolling on the gas for maintainance throttle in a corner.. big "KA-CHUNK" when the chassis does a wiggle.. no fun..

Please post pics when you get it. Before and after install. I want one only if I can install it without cutting into my harness and it works. I don't mind pulling connectors out of the plastic plug to install, but want to be able to put back all stock if I need to take in for warranty work.

I tried the G2 and TT-FPR and felt they did very little.

Anxiously awaiting more testimonials!

FCE - Fuel Cut Eliminator - Installed

Hi There - Just received the FCE or Fuel Cut Eliminator from Ivan's. It took about a hour for me to install. Recommend reading thru instructions before installing and doing it exactly as stated. It is truly amazing the change it made to the bikes over all performance. Ivan's FCE has made my ST1300 throttle response smooth in any rear at any speed. I was ready to get rid of the St1300 and go back to the St1100 because the the throttle re acceleration problem. If you don't have one of these on your bike you are missing out on a great bike. What a difference.

Re: FCE - Fuel Cut Eliminator - Installed

Just ordered one for my bike today. Be interesting to see what it will do.

This sounds like a pre-programed power commander if I'm reading the site correctly.

Re: Fuel Cut Eliminator for ST - On-Off Throttle Issue Resolved

I guess I'm a 1%er, too. Sure seems like there's alot of us. I have Staintunes, Turbo Tom's FPR set to 59psi, Tom's modification to the air box for better breathing, and a K&N filter. I've also taken up the slack in the throttle cables. No G2.
I'm probably not a candidate because I don't like the idea of cutting into the computer cables. Now, if there was a way to connect it like a Speedohealer where you just disconnect a bullet cable connector and plugg the male end into a female wire end and vica versa, then I could see it as it would be semi-permanent and waterproof. I haven't looked at the computer recently, but I believe the wires into it are 'hardwired'. I could be wrong and probably am as, now that I think about it, if the computer goes bad, you don't have to rewire the entire system. So I could see pulling the wire bundle bracket connector and connecting it to an equivalent one from Ivan. That's not cutting and splicing, that's just unplugging and plugging.
Still, I'll await more reports from peoplle with farkles using the FCE.

Timely post.. I just got the FCE in last nites Fed Ex delivery. I am in the process of documenting the install and yes it has bullet connectors, so you can de install the FCE if you want. It would be obvious, though, that you installed these connectors for something, but the tech would not know what...

Yes the wires are hard wired to the connectors from Honda and you are cutting the wires to install the bullet connectors, 6 male and 6 female connectors. The FCE is inline with the wire harness to the ECU..

Prolly finish the install today and go for a ride........... report and pic's soon.

Re: Fuel Cut Eliminator for ST - On-Off Throttle Issue Resolved

Cutting wires to the ECU to splice in a mystery box with crimped bullet connectors sounds like a recipe for disaster. I've been under the hood of numerous ST's over the years and admired the owner's "handiwork". Knock yourselves out, it will be interesting to see what happens when the crimps and connectors start failing on the owners who use cheap crimpers or if the bullet connectors are cheap enough to corrode. ;)

Re: Fuel Cut Eliminator for ST - On-Off Throttle Issue Resolved

I installed the FCE for my Yamaha FZ1, the install uses the same setup. I crimped and than soldered the connections and have not had a problem in the last 3 years.
