Good starter bike for Father-in-law

I have the exact opposite problem...I've been on cruisers most of my life, sport bikes coming out after I got into the cruisers. Decided I wanted to try a sportbike, but old hips and knees made that problematic. The ST filled in real nice...still very sporty, but with handlebar mount extensions and lowered footpegs, made it very comfortable. I still wish I could stretch out like on my Road King, but hey, that's why i have it!:D
