I saw a Honda scooter today I've never seen. Had to be designed by the same team as the ST-1300, looked very much like an ST. Does anyone know what it was?

I've been fooled by the front profile of maxi scooters a few times.

I hate to even say this but the owner of a honda dealership called my beloved Black Pearl a scooter last month as he looked at it out the front window. I said to him a scooter? and he said it's a Honda Sliver wing isn't it?

I walked away...

I kind of liked the Cap't America Honda ADV 160 but I'm sure it doesn't meet my interstate speed requirements. These are actually being made.

well I thought it was a Honda, but now I'm thinking it was a Suzuki Burgman 650, styling does look a lot ST inspired

If it looked like this one it is the Honda ADV 150 scooter that has been out for just a few years now. I've read of several owners who really like it, though they don't really ride a lot of miles but still more than you would think on a 150 machine.

If it looked like this one it is the Honda PCX 160 which has also been out for just a few years in this configuration. I've also read of a few owners who are good with that one as well but not as many as those who like the ADV 150.

Both of these can come with luggage... top cases and saddlebags. They both have some storage under the seat but the ADV 150 is smaller storage there. These are the largest scooters that Honda currently has in production. The only other Honda scooters currently in production are smaller scooters in the 50cc range.

@W0QNX , consider yourself in good company... if'n you think the Harley crowd is good company. I know many HD riders who call their bikes... "SCOOTERS" ... even though they are big V-twin monster bikes. Of course those don't usually have many miles on them and would never make it to even half the odometer reading you've achieved... at least not with the same engine installed. I have known some HD owners who put on some significant miles but most of them replace their ride within just a few years.

Oh, and @Mellow , the NM4 and DN01 were definitely NOT designed by anyone related to the designers of the ST. At least not anyone with the same state of mind as when the ST was designed.

Talking of ADV scoots, we get the Honda X-ADV 750 over here. If 150 is the largest you have in the US, I guess this is another Honda that didn't make its way across the Pond.

We get the Honda Forza 750, too.

@ASPC , my AK 550 only has 53 HP but it'll still go fast enough and accelerate quick enough to get me a performance award from those guys with the colored flashy lights up top... once they catch up to me.

Seriously though, I have never really needed to go that fast nor do I have any desire to do so. 85-90 in an instant is more than enough to pass anyone I need to pass on the highways. And right at 500 lbs a lower HP is no problem since not as much is needed compared to a 230 lbs heavier bike.

Not a scooter - but for a lighter Honda in the smaller capacity class, with shaft drive, it's still hard to beat the value of a used NT700V Deauville. 680cc, 65hp. 527lbs, though.

The Forza 750 and X ADV 750 really blur the traditional scooter definition by having motorcycle weight, suspension & wheeIs, the engine/transmission unit separate from the swing arm, and not featuring an underbone frame. These and the Integra 700 that preceded them are curious scooter choices in that they don’t have the huge underseat storage like other maxi scooters and owners get a chain to maintain in the bargain. Seems the NC750X & S models would be the practical choice in class. They have the front 27 liter storage compartment and less plastic to remove for maintenance purposes and all the mechanicals are roughly the same.

Sounds like my AK 550. Motorcycle weight (light mc at 500 lbs), suspension & wheels, engine/transmission unit separate from the swing arm (mounted in the frame in front of the swing arm pivot), typical motorcycle type frame instead of an underbone frame. And I'm getting to really like having a belt final drive like many BMW bikes have.

You didn't mention which of the above you think you saw. Unless you think it was the Burgman 650. 2018 was the last year of production for those.

I actually own a Silverwing- nice ride and decent acceleration for a 600 parallel twin.Sometimes I enjoy the ST and others, I just like to sit back and twist the throttle. It’s almost as long as the ST
