I see confirmation from Revzilla, Car and Driver and Motorcyclist, as well as this from Bridgestone...
Revzilla Motorcyclist C and D are a maybe for me. But from Bridgestone – an actual manufacturer — I'm onboard.

Wonder why you folks were skeptical? Back when I used to operate a fork lift I'd get some nasty shocks off of that thing after using it for even a few minutes. The fork lift manufacturer told us about the tires and static build up when we complained, they came out and re-fitted a grounding strap that apparently had become displaced. No problems after that. Also, a quick google search finds a lot of patents in this area from major tire manufacturers.
