How does one know if there is any damage?

Honda issued at least several safety bulletins and the NHSTA initiated recalls for VIN ranges. The inspection procedures are well known to dealers. Repaired bikes were physically marked and repaired VINs are known to any Honda dealer that checks.

Great photo!
I have both! 2010 ST and 2002 Wing. Still enjoy both! The Wing goes up on the center stand easier than the ST. Thought about a new bike but these 2 are hard to replace at today's prices. Around town or on a road trip. The Wing does do better in high wind conditions. IMO

Not enough room for the both of us. The wing is so much more comfortable for her/us
