Morning, guys got another question, always looking for ways to improve my s.T not that it really needs it , but just looking into lowering the foot pegs a tad because I have bad knees , any experience out there on this issue , feel free to chime in , thank you

I've never needed the pegs to be lowered on any of my bikes. If you look at the bottom of your OEM pegs, you will see that there is an acorn nut shaped bump at the outside edge. This will drag first when you are leaned way over and the peg will hinge upward so that the bike is not lifted off the pavement with calamitous results. If you are not an aggressive rider lowering pegs might not be dangerous for you, but proceed carefully. As @woodybelle said, motorcycle larry (a company that is no more) sold lowering pegs for 1300s. You might find these used, and there are other brands out there. These have been mentioned before in threads, and some big guys cannot live without them. YMMV

I started getting some discomfort in my legs when taking trips on our 1991. I added handlebar risers....had to modify the plastic cover to reinstall it.....and, that was no help. Installed some MCL folding pegs onto the tipover skids....no direct help. One trip I stretched out my legs and rested my heels on the extended pegs....that did the trick! Repeat every 30 minutes or so and I'm fine.
our 1300 is a different story. Looks the same as the stock configuration 1100 but no discomfort of any sort on trips.

I guess I could get some of those highway pegs , that comes out of them side bumper things , but I think they're pretty expensive
I'm probably gonna wait until after I get my rustle day long seat and then see how I feel after that
