I've never needed the pegs to be lowered on any of my bikes. If you look at the bottom of your OEM pegs, you will see that there is an acorn nut shaped bump at the outside edge. This will drag first when you are leaned way over and the peg will hinge upward so that the bike is not lifted off the pavement with calamitous results. If you are not an aggressive rider lowering pegs might not be dangerous for you, but proceed carefully. As
@woodybelle said, motorcycle larry (a company that is no more) sold lowering pegs for 1300s. You might find these used, and there are other brands out there. These have been mentioned before in threads, and some big guys cannot live without them. YMMV
