Commuting is unpaid labor they'd convinced you being 'part of the job'...

G'Day...
17°/29°C, mostly sunny...
Nespresso at ze GF's...
Commute yuck...
Office yuck... at least there is Nescafé...
Sunday was different...
at the crack of dawn I got accompanied by the cat snuggling up...
snoring to the left of me, purring to the right... here I am...
at 0630hrs the alarm went off, as intended...
by 0730hrs we hit the road, ze GF had located and insisted on a 150 mile practice route around north of Vienna...
empty streets, empty roads... partially cloudy, no hard sun, a nice refreshing breeze... me in my mesh 2-piece...
we crossed through "little Texas" in the northeast: oil pumps and wind turbines... yes, we have those...
no longhorns or pickups through, fields with sunflowers instead
= more oil...
we circled west, roads winding over gentle hills, through farm- and woodland...
literally no traffic... wabbits, deer, various bird-life staring at the two red bikes purring by...
back at her place after 1130hrs, had lunch (plum dumplings), and then we actually took a nap
... a definite sign of getting old...
I never "napped", nor intended to, ever...
later in the afternoon daughter #1 and her BF showed up, taking custody of her cat again... who attempted avoiding capture by hiding deep behind the guest room foldout...
Well, I'm gonna miss having that fury little bugger around...
have a bearable start into the week...
