Yes that is 5g weighed. I guess it depends on the finger lol.5g is exactly what the manual calls for to be applied to the joint surface of the splines in the final gear case and on the driven flange - ie the female and male parts respectively.

I thought the moly paste was specifically for the splines. Is that not the case?You have more than just the splines to cover.
Check/inspect under the spline plate, and replace both of the o-rings as well.
