I'm caffeinated!
not 'motivated'...

G'Day... or not...
13°/26°C, no clouds but a gray, haze layer...

a refreshing ride to the office in my mesh jacket, whilst feeling a bit soggy at 71%RH...
home Nespresso...
office Nescafé...
FYW (for your warning) am I unsupervised for the reST of the week... since Sunday...
ze GF has taken the week off to host her grandkid...
daughter #1 offspring... she's 8, feral, and trouble... the pronouns are 'who?' and 'me?'...
the most exhausting is keeping her physically so busy during the day, that she'll actually sleeps before midnight for a change...
So during that 'state of emergency' am I rather taking cover at my place...
And I guess ze GF will need another week off to recover after this one...
Thursday an encounter of the 3rd kind... with a 'MOT inspector'...
(FYI was that check done at the ÖAMTC, a local AAA equivalent I am only member for their abroad travel and recovery service...)
He obviously couldn't find anything on the '00 ST... but came out declaring a "fail" over "RHS rotor below wear limit"... HUH?! Am I in the wrong movie?!
Fact is: new 5.0mm, wear limit 4.0mm, my rotor has a thickness of 4.29mm... so that's about 30% material still left...
(otherwise I would have certainly noticed/corrected...)

Besides the efforts of having to go there again (within 3 weeks and limited to covering not more then 1000km...) are all those 'tests' getting
entered into a state's online(!) database... owner, vehicle, fault...
Why do I, as paying member, have to get myself denounced at the DMV by them?
- political dictate? (oh those bad ICEs...)
- personal sensitivities? (some mechs simply dislike 'full dressed' motorcycles...)
- showing off his Chinese "digital" rotor vernier caliper? (not unlikely...)
- others, like age of vehicle? (on old rigs we just have to come up with 'something'...)
Yeah, despite I would have gotten another 20~30,000km of that RHS rotor, I swapped them, now 4.82mm left, 4.78mm right... so almost new, eat that!
Have to check out today's work load situation, but intend to go there again in the afternoon... showing the new rotors and questioning the results and above all: their motives...
so, welcome to another darn Monday...
