hi,have a corman seat now, little hard on the but after awhile, what seat seems to be the most comfortable seat people are using?thanks
That's part of it but it really boils down to proper undergarments (I use bicycle shorts, others LD shorts) it's all about breathable comfort equalling less heat and less squirming. I'm very happy with my Sargent and I like the look better than the Russell. I know, ya don't see the seat when you're sitting on it but I prefer the Sargent. Cheerspart of getting comfortable on a long ride is simply conditioning my posterior to shut up and get used to riding for hours
Asking what is the most comfortable seat is like asking what is the most beautiful woman. What works for me may not work for you. Look in these seat threads and you will find every aftermarket seat has it's fans and in the classifieds you will find examples of all of them for sale because they weren't the silver bullet for butt pain.
A used Russell may or may not work. They are custom built to the buyer. The closer you are in height/weight/inseam to the original owner the better chance of it working out as a good deal.
A Corbin is good for an hour.
I put 70,000 miles on a Sargeant. I'd give it an 8 out if 10...
Picking up a new ST in a few weeks that has a Russell on it so I'll be able to compare.
