Here ya go, Ash:

I never worked on that one, but I worked on a bunch of'em at Hulman Field in Terre Haute, IN while in the IN Air Guard in 71/72/73.

This new tag should be easy to find. :D

Thanks for moving this tag George. I've got a picture of your new tag on my computer in OH, but no bike in it. Wouldn't count anyhoo.

Seems Mac and I are trading NM tags, where's the rest of the LD riders? ("Bunch of desk bound computer jockeys. :() That's a quote from another site. Do you know who said it first. :D

According to Spot, Looks like 970Mike is messing with my routing plans an his way to Moonshine! I WAS going through Roswell to get that, but I think that's about to change.

I think yur right, Bill. Wonder where they'll drop it. If it's near Santa Rosa maybe I can pick it up again on Tuesday. Either way, when are you leaving? Should be a fresh tag waiting when ya get to NM. :D

The plan is to leave about 4-6PM on the 24th and do a BBG to somewhere between Abilene and Sweetwater, body (mine) and weather permitting. Then be in Phoenix on the 28th. Leaving there, it's to Cali, up into NV and call it a night somewhere in your neck of the woods. Then Grand Canyon, Utah, CO and then over to Padden's event in Mizzou.

Lots of time to move the NM and AZ tags.

I can't believe Mike rode through Roswell on his way to Moonshine and didn't pick this one up.

OLD TAG

I stopped and took pics for several possible tags, but we'll go with this one, on the other side of the state. If you come from the east, go west young man! Great roads are ahead of you. If you come from the west, turn around and do it again.

It was great! Loved the road and views. I had to take it a bit easy, though since the over-packed bike is kinda heavy to the rear. The front doesn't feel very well planted when I flick from one side to the other. I did drag the edge of my boot a few times, though. I loved coming up US 180 over the mountains and through the parks. Lots of deer and elk on and around the road though. I didn't get to Eagar until after dark, so it was deer time, fer sure.

Back in the game:

There's some interesting old architecture in this small town, well preserved

New one is catty-corner in the North East. Might be a good one for someone heading to get the CO tag which is not too far north.... :D

Found the old tag just north of Folsom NM. New tag is the big sign up close. Alternate for anyone who might by towing a trailer.

By the way George, I had a great ride over the Dry Cimmaron Canyon scenic road. I rode from Kenton Oklahoma to Folsom NM. Beware others, this road has about 22 miles of gravel road but it was AWESOME. I saw deer elk turkeys birds galore and a dead rattle snake. Well worth the gravel parts.

Better link of roads I traveled.

The temps hit 75 at one point on today's great ride. Found the old tag and a new spot.

Now come on down and move it soon.

Not many twisty roads around Vaughn!!!

Do a quick loop around the depot like I did! And you are 100 and 10% correct, not a one barely even a corner to be found.

Be sure to get those NM tags if you pass thru Mac. Leave them far and wide for me!

Edit, I also did Roswell to Clovis for the first time ever on the bike yeserday. That was almost an hour and 20 minutes I'll never get back....but it was better then sitting in front of the pc I guess. Found a place to take the grandsons riding (haystack offroad area).
