My cousins got the mercurochrome, but Me and my siblings got methylate!
I'm sure some of you more seasoned riders remember Paregoric. I'm pretty sure it was sold over the counter until 1970 or so. It contained opium, and our Mom treated everything from coughs to diarrhea and bicycle crashes with it. Apparently it can still be had with one of those pesky prescriptions.
