Not that I am aware of - IIRC the frames are all the same.
However, on a 1998 which is ABSII, the front forks are different and the triple tree is different but that's all up front!

I'd say you'll miss some mounting tabs for the ABS plumbing...
If you can refab those (reliable and in a way you'll pass a tech inspection)...

Have a corrosion issue, but option of a secondhand one...
Incidentally, when they corrode is the inside plate likely to buckle enough, so the drive shaft "scuffs" a little inside the torque tube?

yes. was thinking that's the only difference. rubber pad and a tie wrap will do.
Not so sure if drilling and tapping holes is a good idea

Some tabs are spot welded, some clips (on the cross member) fixed with M6 bolts at factory.
I'd choose large, quality zip-ties though... (don't want to end up with a brake line rubbing anywhere)
Bearing stock, f/drive flange, etc... are identically...
A much better project then trying to weld up the corroded and rotten old swing-arm; heat/cool contractions will warp the legs all over the place (unless you've a massive jig), patches on the outside won't do it, as they're rusting inside out (due to that notorious winter usage)...
So don't forget using some quality cavity conservation on the "new" part...

So if anyone thinks he can mend such by simply welding a patch onto the cross-member, scratch that... The one shown came off my '94 ST1100, PO seems to have abused it quite a bit with winter-riding, brine on the roads and such... Upon inspection it showed two soft spots on the underside...

not sure if information still needed regarding the swing arm but all swing arms are the same up to 2002. The 2003 ST1100P (police) is different.
