Menards has been my go to for filters. the PL is $7.11 each but you have to do their $^%#&-ing rebate program. They are always holding some of your money. The out the door price is $7.99....with 88¢ rebate available on the next purchase.

Just bought the PL14612 at my local Menards $7.99 + tax, doing the oil change this coming weekend. Have been using this filter for the past two years. That plus the one gallon size Rotella T6 15W40 full synthetic, brings the oil level to the middle of the sight glass :). Total cost $34 compared to $60 plus with the Honda oil and filter.

A good friend, who owned a Honda power sports store, said they never saw an oil related engine failure that wasn't due to simply lack of oil in the 25+ years he owned it. He remarked that, if it wasn't for plastic sales, they never made much money on Hondas once they were sold.
