Rotella and other diesel oils?

They only talk about direct injection. I haven't hear of any motorcycles using direct injection. I have seen pistons blow up like that from nitrous. Now here is what that problem is, Why did he fake a known Audi piston defect , see https://www.classaction.org/news/20...-plagued-by-piston-defect-class-action-claims and blame it on the oil? I'm sure Randy will chime in with his 300,000 mile st using diesel oil. Click bait, hook line and sinker. pics from recall no diesel oil here :box1: :chairfall1:

I'm going out to the garage right now and tell my ST1300 with 432,000 miles, 430,000 of it running Rotella T6 diesel oil it should not have done that. Especially with that outrageous 10,000 mile change interval I use.

Bad Black Pearl.

It's the oil filter crazy, Walmart Supertech 6607 for the win!!!

I got video's too! First video is at 393,177 miles putting down the Interstate at my very normal 77 mph gps indicated. (For another thread, she pulls hard to the center hands free too!)

The second video is when I pulled over at 399,999 miles.

Debate on! I'm game for an oil debate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geez, that’s really disappointing.
I figured some of his information might get into minutiae that may not practically matter but you just pointed out straight up b.s.
Makes me want to kill the thread except that I learned something from it.

Just for fun - I will throw in my 2cents. One thing that makes diesel oil a benefit to the ST Owner and anyone with a motorcycle that has the engine oil and transmission oil using the same oil. The addition of extra calcium and phosphorous in diesel oils will do a much better job of lubricating the gears. My personal opinion is that these two ingredients more than make up for any loss of ZDDP(zinc) due to detergent additives. The extra detergent also help the wear particles from the transmission and clutch from building up in the sump and oil galleys and allows the filter to take them out.

Did you check your pistons yet  My bad and I apologize, I was only off by 132,000 miles. :doh1:

At a quick glance going over your guys's conversation, I'm going to go with the expert advice of the white telephone. He has never LED me wrong and my bike runs a million times better since I saved it from a scrap yard. It is the supertech diesel oil for me.!!!!!!! My bike runs so much better, and all my creeping clutch issues are gone.

As much as I've worked on my bike, I'm still very new to the nuances of it. I go far has been a wonderful help, but I'm still a little leery on letting go of both handlebars when I ride, cuz the steering seems super sensitive and a little bit shaky. I don't know if I need to adjust something in the front end or have my front end bearings looked at, but I will get there eventually. I've had my bike for about 4 or 5 years now and it came to me as a front end wreck but everything was good on it for the most part. And I've gotten it back to OEM looking with the help of I go far. But I am still trying to figure out how to get the steering f*** to be smooth as silk without all the tiny vibrations and the super sensitivity on highways. So I can at least Cruise comfortably with my hands off the handlebars from time to time.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..............She's agonna blow captain!!!!

I have t6 in both of my STs right now, seems fine.

Don't tell anyone that I stuck a subaru oil filter on one of them.

Calling it "diesel oil" is a misnomer. It says right there on the label that it is RV oil. See the pic on the right on the label?

Now if it is good enough for an RV, it is good enough for my RV (motorcycle).
