Satadah coffee Oct 10th

Good morning, all. Thanks for the coffee, Stu.

The temperature is currently 65, and will flatline the rest of the day as bands of rain are just beginning to reach our area. I think the prediction has been lowered to around 1” accumulation. I just don’t understand the TV weather news coverage. The expected 1” has been elevated to disaster status, with everyone being warned to stock up on groceries, drinking water, and spare batteries. But only last week, we received 1 1/4” in 24 hours and were told that it was a nice break in our drought conditions. I can only assume that adding a name to a storm makes it dangerous.

Since it’ll be wet out, nothing is planned. In the words of Julius Caesar, “ I came, I saw, I need a nap.” Wise words, that seem appropriate for today.

I hope Raymond is OK. He was almost dead center of the point of landfall on this storm.

Good morning everyone

you look like you need some coffee!

Truth! So, thanks for the certain remedy Stu.

It's 49°F and partly cloudy in Rockville at the moment. Mostly cloudy with a high of 70 is expected later.

ECS reigns supreme again today.

Stay safe and well everyone and tell your dear ones you love them. Do it today, NOW, for tomorrow may be too late.

Good morning, and thanks for the coffee start, Stu.
My alarm cat woke me at 6:30, so here I am.

It's 36 and sunny in MA this morning, rising to 64 and becoming partly cloudy, later.

Yesterdays task was to move my mulch pile to the town's mulch pile.
It took me 8 trips, but that's finally done.
I found that if I put a tarp in the back of the truck, I could just pull the whole thing out, once I got to the town's mulch pile.
I've also found that snow shovel works best for getting the leaves and clippings into the truck.

Today's plan pretty much mimics John's.
I'll probably remove the screening from the gazebo and store it in the basement.

Enjoy the day,
Steve

Morning Stu & All from the storm is coming in Southern Utah!

Currently it is 60F, up from 54F, and heading for 69F. The winds are already out of the SSW @ 4 to 12mph. And later, once the (Rachel) storm hits, they will be 25 to 38mph.

I had the Dermatology visit yesterday, and I was surprised that on the most part I'm in good shape. Just a few areas that needed attention. And a small area, on my back is waiting to see if there anything that needs more attention.

Today, I doubt if I'll get much done. The weather will keep us inside, so we'll see.

Once Chris is up, we'll get some breakfast. And the Pepsis are still in the cooler.

Anyone :dr13:, have a great day on the roads! :hat3:

Good Morning, yeah it's been a while since I was here. Thanks for the coffee Stu! Spent last week in the hospital, with a extremely sore right Shoulder, Turned out to be a combination of arthritis and a infection, some more meds to take. Painful enough while I was waiting for admission my blood pressure dropped to 66 over something. Anyway I will be avoiding my hacksaw and no riding till my arm stops whining. Is good to be home, so Y'all have a great weekend G

Good morning and thanks for the fine coffee Stu. 80 degrees under mostly cloudy sky.
Yesterday I decided to work on an old HP laptop that saw extensive use in the shop. I like to keep it around because it has a 17 inch screen.
The cooling fan has been screaming like a hair dryer and putting out as much heat. You think
this might be the problem?
Anyway, all cleaned up and new thermal paste applied, I reassembled and booted, a cooling fan error message!!!
Yep, forgot to plug in the fan and had to tear down to the studs again to fix it.
I think I’ll paint something today.

Stay safe!!
