Here are a couple of pic's. Givi E36 flat black top box. Holds one helmet and other STuff. I also can move it to my KLR and/or my Wee DL650.

By the way, the entire assembly including mounting brackets plate and backrest is available for sale.

It's custom-built: CLICKY.

There's no ground; it was designed for use with an end-fed antennas that don't require one. At any rate, the 1300 doesn't lend itself to being a ground plane, so anything like that should really be accomplished with separate counterpoise wires.

Finally have mine mounted. I am writing up the install instructions I made up but don't know quite how to post it yet. It's a PDF file. May have to convert it to something else. I'll figure it out.

Great looking set up.

I bought the Bestem 929 last spring and was impressed with the quality. I was expecting it to not be very rigid/solid, especially for the price. I was wrong.

I am envious of the added lights in the middle band. Mine does not have them, only the ones you show as brake lights. If they are LED, they don't pull much juice so the small wire will more than likely be OK.

My first f/glass project. I had the box almost ready to paint but the lid was basically nothing. My Bro called to tell me he was heading through on his way south .. in 3 days .. if i wanted to join him.

As you can see, in 2 days, I threw some glass and resin together and as expected it turned out like crap ..so I grabbed a can of gray primer and 3 shades of blue .. just to hide the rough surface.
Now (no pix) I'm doing the lid again ... should be color matched in a few weeks .. unless I change my mind :D

BTW .. I did 2,000 + kilometers, some through torrential rain .. no leaks !!
 
I would go with the Hondaline, bought mine last July 2010 and it makes the bike look like a touring bike with agressiveness. I have had Givi's in the past, great product, but for a little more, you have the real deal.

Well here it is after some paint.
Not the best finish, but it works and keeps the rain out.

And it hold ALL my tent, sleeping bag and more ... good enough for this little black duck. :tent3:
