Show me your Top Box!

With my Honda top box and the windshield up 2/3 of the way .. and the
top heavy engine/transmission combo .. my ST sails in crosswinds with
the lower part of the bike skewing from left to right subtly. As the wind
hits from the right, the lower part of the bike skews to the left as I
subconsciously correct to lean into the wind .. and vice versa. It almost
seems that the wind only blows the bottom half of the bike; that the
top half stays in place on auto pilot. Uncanny.

Anyway, once you've gotten used to it, you trust the bike to stay in
line with the crosswinds blowing and just let the lower part do its thing.
Some of the skews can get pretty disconcerting, though, because the
ST is one helluva wind catcher. Just the way it's built.
 
Here's mine......it's a 2001 Ross Swiss. Pretty sweet set up......detachable, very aerodynamic, lightweight, versatile, works spectacularly with the Turbo Tom rear rack, and matches well with the 2006 black. A set of twin American flags easily attached. :headbang:

Do I see leds on that carrier???
That looks like a big box what size is it?
Are you going to colour cade the top of the box?
 
I was thinking of ordering a top box, but I have heard from 2 people that when riding alone and if high speeds are involved, then it caused the bike to wobble. They said that in Europe the police bikes had a big problem with this issue. Is that maybe why the top box is not sold in North America?? :06biker:

Yep, aux brake lights. 45ltr I think. It's a standard issue Honda box. Not sure on the paint. I might do the bike to match the box.

Believe this is one of the MUTAZU Trunks but got it on Ebay cheaper. They come in several different designs and colors. This one has brake/turn signals and the wing has flashing brake light. Not the best quality but I can buy 5 of these for the price of 1 Honda Trunk. Should last several years. Had to make my own mounting plate.

Love the milk crate. I had an old aluminum cooler mounted on the luggage rack of my GS 750 that was painted up to match the bike. I used it for nearly 3 years before I sold the bike and got my Concours.

Top Box pics

I am in the market for a top trunk. trying to pick a brand. I like the E55 from Givi and i like the oem from honda...Please post pics of the one you have so i can redo my christman list....
