Article [11] ST1100 - Fuel Pump Replacement

Hello
Anyone have any long term opinions/results (several years/20,000 miles+) using the external fuel pumps ( Facet 40178, etc). Mileage, Performance, Problems?

No experience with the external ones but several thousand miles with the internal Quantum and a fuel pressure regulator.
I used to carry an external one as back up but the first time I had to use it, it apparently overheated and failed.

So I guess using Highflowfuel's HFP-360-ST-QFS is not a big deal after all with some people claiming it's pushing up to 5 psi.

The way you know if it is an issue is you can start the ST1100 without the 'choke' (fuel enricher) when it is cold.
