Last ride of the year I had turn signal switch problems so I took off left hand cluster, corrected issue and put back together. This spring I went to start it and when I move choke beyond half choke or give it throttle it dies. I suspect it's an issue with choke lever on the handlebar, but i've had it apart about 4 times and cannot see any kinks or other issues. Also somehow I inadvertently failed to fill the tank and it wintered with only a quarter tank. Looking for ideas/suggestions. Thanks.

Did it sit all winter with gas in the carbs without running?
ST1100s with gummed up idle jets will not idle without full choke.
It is especially a problem if your fuel has corn squeezings in it.

I suggest you add a good quality fuel injector cleaner, for a few tankfuls. This will get most of the gunk out of the carbs.

Mine has done similar. Thought it was a carb issue but my efforts didn't improve anything. Turns out an ignition coil had failed. 'Got to find time to replace them.Did it sit all winter with gas in the carbs without running?
