I appreciate the update! I've only managed about 2,000 miles since I bought it in August. The Honda dealer *still* hasn't delivered the side cases I ordered with the bike. I've since added some eBay "Xitomer" side case brackets and "Rhinowalk" soft bags.
I also bought the whole bag & mount setup when I bought my NT1100 in early December, and still don't have them yet either.
I call my salesman once in a while about them, but the latest I have heard was that they were back-ordered and supposed to be released around 1/26/26.
I haven't been contacted yet, so I think we will be waiting a bit longer. We still have about a foot of snow on the ground here, so I am not worried yet.
I sold my 2005 ST1300 in May and had not been on ST-owners for a while, but have discovered the NT1100 thread, and once again found it a good source of info about my NT.
I read through the NT1100 thread hoping to find out what others have tried for accessories. I was looking for what others have bought for a radiator guard, but haven't seen anything about it yet.
There are quite a few listed online but they all look a lot alike, but vary a lot in price. Has anyone bought one? I worry that the cheaper ones won't fit right or fall apart.
I also thought that I would try to free up my windshield adjuster by applying a bit of grease, but because is is molded from ??? plastic, what lube is compatible with it. Anyone have a clue?
My guess was a silicone base product, but I hoped that someone might have some real knowledge about compatibility. Is it molded from DURABIO?
I would also like to get either a shock protector for below the rear stock fender, or the fender/chain guard combination.
I can't tell if the one piece fender/chain guard goes as low as the shock protector appears to go. Something that blocked the splash would cut down on the mud in that area.
One last question for whoever might know. Do the aftermarket saddlebag protector bars mount where they would provide a good grab-point for lifting onto center stand? I really liked the lift handle on the ST1300.
Something to lift with in that general area would be nice. It isn't as hard to put on the stand as the ST, but I haven't found a good place to grab onto yet.
Thanks to anyone who could shed some light on my questions.
