Time for me to be Thankful

I’ve posted before on my thoughts about vests and why I picked a Helite.

I too like the Kiss Principle and I’m not excited by paying a subscription to survive a crash.

For the next few years, I won’t be riding, so I will be selling my Helite with a spare cartridge. If I go back to riding, I will definitely be wearing an airbag vest.
Hey Gill
Are you not riding because of the risks or what? Haven't heard from you in awhile. How are things going? Is that addition to your house completed?

I have also trained my brain to give the cable a tug once I get rolling to make sure I am connected correctly.
I found myself unhooked or having forgotten to buckle up the top one or two on my Turtle from time to time, so I got into a count routine that was something like the lanyard one, the four buckles, and five was personal adjustment. Later I moved to the Helite mesh jacket that I really prefer over the vest.
FWIW, I extend the range of temps with a heated shirt, wind-blocker jacket and a gortex rain shell. Pretty much below 40s up to whatever the central valley or NV desert can dish out in August. I will say that the zipper (unless they finally wised up) seemed less than robust, and mine failed at the bottom, but the US distributor replaced it with a very robust YKK and paid for all shipping charges. Thankfully I can't comment on its performance, but the company stands behind their product.
