I used to stay in those little houses on truro! I guess she sold them. She was a dry old yankee lady!
Im leaving boston to ptown tomorrow. Its supposed to be wonderful weather tomorrow
 
I took off on the :bl13: to catch the flyby that March AB was putting on. Originally I was told that the TBirds were flying by. Then told two aircraft. Turned out to be a C-17 and a KC-135.

Went from boston to provincetown. Hell of a nice ride there. Met a girlie biker club! Hit the national forest there and rode the curves thru the dunes, and then did it again on the way back, traffic and wind increased dramatically and there was a fire between the n and south bound that stopped traffic for a bit.
The sad news is that my 96 1100 will hit 14,000 miles in 8 miles.
Before i left, i set the dash tray so i had navi and music. That made a nice difference. Last week i went back to the origionL mufflers, and i am thrilled with the sound!
The bike is coming together, and im getting better! I still suck at short turns but see progress! It took me a log time to relax and let the bike do its thing in the wind.
The larger windshield makes a huge difference!

Did around 240 mi today! Went from boston, on rt 2 to greenfield. Hit some curvies on rt5 to northampton and drove to easthampton and over mt tom. Hit the pike and made it home. Everyone here in boston thinks 75-90 is the speed limit, even when the traffic is heavy. Managed a few tight turns in a parking lot and know i have a lot more work to do there. Every bike in Massachusetts must have been on the road today.

I had a great post-lockdown ride with my oldest friend Andrew, he was on his Tuono 1100. The mighty ST was great, comfy on the straight bits, always plush on the bumps, and nimble enough on the curves. Also lots better with the screen up/grips on at 5C in fog than the Tuono. We covered 900km yesterday from Auckland down to New Plymouth, then back through the tortuous Forgotten World Highway. While 900km doesn't sound hard, we deliberately chose the "fun" way with a maximum of twists and turns. Also rode on about 30km of gravel roads in all of that. Arrived home weary and dusty but very happy and with few aches or pains.

I confirmed yesterday that the stock seat, in high front/medium rear position, is definitely more comfy for me than the Sargent seat; the latter is more roomy but cuts into my thighs and has me squirming after 30 minutes. I think I stood for relief just three times yesterday on the stock seat. My friend also confirmed that a tyre that is nearly done wears REALLY fast; he went from visible tread to "OMG...cords!" in 300km, and we were lucky to find a dealer who would fit a new tyre at short notice on the weekend. I had new T31GTs fitted last week and these were brilliantly good.
