Where did you ride today?

An odd day! My kids own a bar and i had a few last night. Today i hopped on the bike for a spin but i felt off on my turns and braking. So, i parked it. Better safe than sorry.
Leaving for home monday and cant decide if i want to go the short or long way.

Rode from Corvallis, OR to Camas, WA to return my son to his aunt & uncle's where he's living while doing a college internship in a Portland suburb. He picked up his VStrom and we rode to ProCaliber Motorsports in Vancouver, WA to demo Indian and BMW bikes.

I rode an Indian with floorboards an a small electrically adjustable windscreen that moved about six inches maybe. Can't find it on their site, but I think it was a Chief of some kind.

Then I rode the BMW R18 First Edition. It was a blast. Lots of torque twisting the bike when revving at a stop, but it smoothed out underway and at some elevated revs and speed gave my butt a magic fingers experience that wasn't at all unpleasant. :)

Then returned home.

A great day.
 
I rode to a friend's home for a visit to Walmart to pick up a prescription and do a little shopping, to Food Lion for a few more things, to the bank to deposit a check, filled up the tank and managed to fit in a pleasure ride, too.
 
STacy rode the E HWY 2 to Leavenworth to S Hwy 97 to E I 90 and home. The rapids on the Wenatachee River were fantastic! She would have stopped for pictures but her Rider was in a 'so many curves, so little time' mode.:headbang:
Oh, and she was a baad girl coming down off the West side of Snoqualmie Pass... Ahhem, she chose to tail a cage doing 94mph ALL the way down. She was sucked along for the ride due to the wind and planetary rotation and stuff...:shrug2: Thank goodness the WSP was busy on the other side of I 90...:law1::spank1:
 
usually when i go to Toledo i don't take the expressway so i left home with the sun going down and took I-96 and then m-14 west out to us-23 then headed south to Toledo. my mission was to see how well the Cardo worked out on the open road. i took the I-475 loop around to I-75 north. i took I-275 north to I-94 east, i was kind of glad to be on I-94 just for the street lights, my left headlight went out somewhere along the way. i took m-39 north then us-12 east and finally Schafer north for home and 152 miles. the packtalk bold worked great, i had no problem hearing it even while doing a ton plus ten
 
Today I rode my ST from home to a friend's home in Germantown, MD, where our BMW-riding friend and I met up and surprised him for his birthday. The trip was about 140 miles each way.

His wife gave him a gift of her blessing and enough money to buy a used bike, so we're helping him shop. Anybody know of a nice bike for sale that's not listed here, in the VA/MD/PA area?
 
It was a beautiful morning in Muskoka. Thought I would ride into Huntsville via all the quiet backroads and buy a couple of nice rib steaks forthe BBQ. Arrived at the Metro Foods, parked my bike in the middle of the lot as it was nice and I wanted to stretch a bit before shopping. When I came out I couldn't see my bike. Then it occurred to me that the large red pile on the ground was Jupiter Gigarius,my trusty steed. I found him on his side, mirror and surround smashed as well as the bag. The damage was all on the kickstand side, therefore I can only assume that someone backed into my bike. There was alot of fuel and oil on the ground, but after letting the bike sit upright for 10 minutes to let the oil drain back down, it started right up. Thank you Honda. I went into the store and talked to security but they said there were no cameras there and no one reported anything. Now I understand that accidents happen, but it would be nice if people has the consideration to at least leave a note. It has been suggested that because we are in a 'stay at home order' that it was possibly someone from Toronto or somewhere other that here that didn't what to get caught out of their area.
What happened to honesty and responsibility for your actions? I'm afraid that this pandemic has really knocked my faith in man. We seem to have stopped caring about others or the effects our actions may have.
However, a little epoxy, body work and paint and all will be right in my world again.

Rode up north about an hour and back yesterday. It's a scenic ride following the river. I do it at least a couple times a month to clear my head.
 
Just a short 30 minutes ride before work.

Aside from three non consecutive days, it has rained for the last two weeks...heavy, light and sporadic throughout the day. Another has been forecast. Last such rainy period in my part of Texas was around 15 years back. This is unusual for north Texas. Just keeping the batteries charged and riding brief errands when I can.

They had to construct a path for the avalanches so it wouldn't block the highway. You can see it passes over the snow shed for the trains:

I saw some pretty cool wildlife along the way as well; Mountain goats, Bighorn Sheep and two grizzly bears munching away in the ditch beside the highway. As always, there were a couple people getting out of their cars to take pics of the grizzlies. Darwinian selection at it's best.

The ride took about 7 hours with gas stops and a brief lunch break where the bike is parked in the last photo. Not going to lie, my butt and wedding tackle were pretty sore for the last hour. But what a way to spend the day. I actually felt at times that I might be getting the hang of this riding thing. A lot of work left to do but I caught a glimpse of riding capability through the doorway.

I can't tell from the pic what seat you're riding on, but have to ask, is it time for a saddle upgrade?
