Rode up to my son's house. A 46+ mile round trip this time.
Went to help him put down some gravel to set the garbage and recycle bins on and dig a hole to plant a new tree... in place of an original tree that died because the builder doesn't know how to plant those things in clay soil. We got the hole down to 30-36 inches deep and the clay was still holding water like a pot. Will have to dig deeper and put in a lot of gravel to give water someplace to go.

Visited the Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego today to see how the 2nd phase turned out, I was part of the team who began the project and finished the 1st phase in 2010

JAWS!
How does that compare to your BMW? Dash speakers any good?
One of the reasons I am trying to do all my own maintenance is so I avoid stepping foot in any dealer showroom.
No, the dash speakers are no good!
Not on ANY bike. Earplugs are the way to go, we don't wanna hear your rap.
Even if you're playing the Allman Brothers or Lynyrd Skynyrd... please keep it to yourself. (And your pillion, if that applies to you. )

There was one dude playing disco and it was loud. Please no. I always keep my music in my helmet. You don’t want to hear my hard rock and I don’t want to hear your country or whatever. The rumble is enough.
In my helmet today, I could hear myself sweat.
So I tuned into a private concert (me only) by the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, imagining myself sitting in a light refreshing breeze on a cool rock under the shade of a large oak tree, overlooking a calm, blue lake in the Oxark hills.
The real reality, however...

What?!
Langley Kwantlen University grounds - Falcon Farlane Comet group. Pretty good to see this engine running with the exposed push rods. Resolution is lost in the yellow sheet but says this vehicle is all original. Look how well that fan belt has aged
Up-draft carburetor; there's something you don't see every day.
And the exhaust manifold built into the head.

Today i rode from Houston to Albuquerque, got rained on pretty hard through west texas. Onward to Vegas tomorrow.
Well, I was left unsupervised again, and I went to hell and back! You know, it’s one of the iron but theme rides and it’s a saddle sore 1000. I did it just shy of 18 hours. Here’s the Spotwalla link:

The town of Hell Michigan is basically three buildings, one of which is a nice saloon that was completely crawling with motorcycle riders! I didn’t dare go in and have a beer knowing I had another 560 miles to finish. Instead, I took pictures of the portage dam, which is somehow part of the original name of the place.
I loaded up and scoo-doodled back the way I came.
When I was on route 90 going through Cleveland, Ohio, either the blue Angels or the Air Force Thunderbirds flew overhead in formation! I felt sort of validated…
