2026 WoodSToc 4 - Aug 10-15, 2026 - Woodstock, NB

What Jay said!! Great couple of days well spent! Enjoyed the educational tour of the flour mill! Beautiful countryside! Saw a nice little waterfall. Fun lunch stop at Potato World! The pie was amazing at the McAdam Railroad Station. Thanks for being a great tour guide and host, George!

I'll second Jay and Annette! George provided a lovely home for our stay, chauffeured us around Woodstock, made sure that we met our ice cream quota, had very interesting stops for our rides, and made sure we left with wonderful memories and big smiles! If you are on the fence about going to Woodstock, make the jump! Such beautiful scenery, great food and wonderful people! You won't be disappointed!!

Yesterday, a fellow rider who knows his way around southern New Brunswick far better than I, led me for an exploratory ride, to layout a route for the WoodSToc ride of Thursday Aug. 13th. We had a great ride! You will too - join us! His lovely wife will likely be riding pillion when he leads our ride, so no racing!

As of today, the special month of August is upon us - a month that can relied upon to provide moderate temperatures for riding, few bugs, and although some wood differ, I'll say no rain on our parade!
I would like a few more to join us - this means you! Accommodation won't be a problem, if you have a question, ask!

Seems Friday has no return spots on the ferry.

Waiting to see what the "new schedule of planned events" is to see if this works for us. If it works, there could be 2 more of us for some of the days. If not, we're back to the event being "Obo free." :)

Obo.

Obo, you're help is very much appreciated! So now there'll be a cosmic shift; we'll go from a quite good event to a great event!
A cosmic shift or something would be nice for ONStoc this year. It seems like something is amiss. I'm thinking next year we will be back in action.
BTW I have WOODStoc on my calendar for next August. We are staying close to home this month with our pooch post surgery.

Sorting has happened. The date for the ferry ride and expedition to Nova Scotia is Thursday August 13. The illustrious Obo is leading the way, and I'm grateful! This means it's essential to book passage both ways ASAP. This means you! You'll need your credit card, as well as your license plate number. ferries.ca If you encounter difficulty, call 506-649-7777.

Well guys, my planned day to leave BC has come and gone and I'm still at home. Decided that due to the weather, smoke and storms, my body didn't want to do the long days needed in current conditions. Hope the attendees have a great time and I'll put the next event in the area into next year's calendar. Hoping to get out to ONStoc though on September if i can move another planned trip.
I have to ask why such a poorish turnout for this event? Am I the only Canadian not going into the USA and therefore looking for trips this side of the 49th. I'm somewhat surprised.
Enjoy.
Andy

I'm not sure either Andy.
A poll was taken recently and the weekday/resort platform was preferred by the majority of respondents. In fact 95% in favour.
If you do decide to join us it would be fantastic. I'm sure we can find you a bed at the resort.
To add, a few of us will be getting lost in northern Ontario for a few days prior. There is a thread already started on the forum. See RollingCampStoc in the events section for more info.
Safe travels.
Dave

[The earlier part of the event: free accommodation at 103 Orange St, Woodstock, NB. for the nights of August 10 and 11. This is a 3 bedroom house operating as an air b&b, but since I own it, there's no charge!] There's a change! Due to a cancelation, I'm no longer offering that. An alternate has been arranged for STFlips. Anyone else needing a place to stay the night of 10th and 11th, call me 705-644-9484.
The preceding was copied from an earlier post. Didn't want anyone to miss it.
Weather's looking quite reasonable for this event. We'll be making memories!

Ferry Booking Information

*If anyone suffers from motion sickness, being along some Gravol. The sailing are normally smooth, but Mother Nature does what she wants. You can normally buy it onboard, but it might be a bit pricier.

*If you have your own tie down straps, you may want to bring them. Bikes will need to be tied down, or you can expect them to take a nap on the deck. The ferry normally has straps, but they are massive, meant for securing transport trailers. They will work though.

Mrs. Obo and I will be arriving Monday the 10th sometime in the afternoon/early evening. We're staying at the Best Western Monday & Tuesday night.

For Wednesday & Thursday night at RIverRun we're in dome 3 (Gerhard & Cherie's dome from WoodStoc2.) We're playing it by ear if we're going to do any riding with the group on Friday, as we're heading home Friday sometime.
