Just got a new pair of Ridge Ultimate 9 boots last week. They are light, comfortable and waterproof. So far they are a good boot.

Canadian general purpose army boots man. I wear them all day, they never get hot, great traction, fully integrated tongue, and cost all of 40 bucks.
Amazing gear.

Tour Master Solution boots. They're very reasonably, from around 115 to 130 delivered to your house. I've worn them for many thousands of miles. They are extremely confortable and actually work fine on long trips for wearing after the day's ride. I'm now on my second pair. The 1st pair only lost waterproofness after several years and the wetness was coming through the worn out sole.

I first posted on this thread on 01-28-2008, I still have the same boots (gericke tuareg) and done a lot of miles since that post in all weathers. Now that to me says good boot.

Well, I have gone a little different route. A couple of years ago I purchased a pair of Tony Llama boots. I think they are actually a work boot, but they are sort of a modified cowboy boot, with a low heal. They are very comfortable, and have good traction. Plus you can wear them when you aren't riding. The downside is that the ones I have ( black ) are not waterproof. They make the same model in brown and it is water proof The style is RR1104, and they were reasonably priced, less than $150.00 I think.

I wear these http://terrafootwear.com/detail.php?id=730&cat=136&type=men The side zipper makes the booth easy to get in and out. An extra wool sock make the more confortable because I have one foot little bigger than the otter.
No steel toe or sole only composite. Warn but not to warm even in cold weather. Watherproof for about 2 hours at pourring rain. Keep them with mint oil each 2 weeks for kepping them watherproof and very flexible.

I use oneal rider MX boots. The best protection I could find. I can walk confortably(after break in). Very bulky and heavy. I take them everywhere.6821f340-f014-4a06-a677-4f10bfb1df59_1.bf80d55074d428c8939b6946fae3ee54.jpeg

I wear Scarpa hiking boots. (Italian-made) Comfortable after a short break-in, waterproof, tough enough to wear roofing. Got them at Mountain Equipment Co-op, (which will only mean something to the Canadians). Was wearing them as I shopped for boots at a bike shop near Toronto (GP Bikes) when I realized I already had the perfect pair on my feet. I wear them daily, year-round. Way past getting my money's worth out of them. I think they were $200.

I know what my next pair of boots will be.

a good motorcycle boot is designed with protection in mind. The extra padded protect against broken bones and other damage that are common areas of physical harm in the event of an accident. The shin bone is usually broken by the foot peg. So if your looking for a boot there is an advantage to a motorcycle boot rather that a work or hiking boot. I wear a tourmaster and the flip them off for a pair of gym shoes when I get to my destination. But I have worn them all day, pretty comfortable.

I also wore Tourmasters and they held up very good when I was totaled out from behind 3 years ago. In fact after a year of healing I got back to riding and wore the same pair although had to patch up one heal. But I also bought a new pair of Tourmaster Airs and love them.

Italian for me too. Alpine Star Grand tour. So comfy, like a well broken in loafer. A pair of SIDI for back up, would liek to find a pair of air style TCX, but hard to find in my price range (<$100).
