Here are some of the things you have to avoid to ride in this kind of weather. All taken on today's ride

No doubt. Almost 50° here yesterday, 26° this morning, 60° tomorrow and 75° on Monday. Temps like a roller coaster!
Hey Paul, on Merry’s morning commute yesterday, her car thermometer read -21 air temp. Does that count?

I was just looking back at last years game and realize I am tied with my own cold ride from last year so far. Don't expect anything better (colder) this year since the trend for temps for the next several weeks is warmer than usual.

I just have this feeling that we've seen the last of the really cold temps for this season. Now, having just said that it won't surprise me if the temp takes a nose dive toward zeroF in the next few weeks.

Looking ahead the rest of the month I decided to unhook my HeatDemon heat controller and stash the cable safely away. I removed the Y-cable from my jacket (not that it was any more than threaded through the arms between the liners anyway). If the temps just happen to deviate from predicted estimates I can always plug it all in easily anyway but I am running "light" now and perhaps I won't even need any of my extra liners until next cold season. :D

I know... tempting fate.

Boy, you're really living on the edge Bob. What has retirement done to you? ;)

Yea it was another 50 degree day here, although raining for today's ride. Took off the handlebar mitts, left the heated jacket liner at home..didn't even use the heated grips. Thinkit's about over. Surely don't think we will see anything lower than 14 (my current low temp for this season) for the rest of the year.

In the next 3 weeks we are expecting temps to be close to 55F ranging up to 70F (next Sunday) and a lot of days around 60F-65F.
Mornings will be still close to freezing but I'm still sleeping at that time. Yep, retirement has had an effect on when I get out to ride.

Will the trophy checks have the official government anti-fake markings and metallic thread woven through them?
