I found that pressure results in a squishy ride especially in corners. I usually put mine at 36-38 psi in the garage which is 40-42 travelling. Maybe I just like a firm ass?

Butt anyway, I'm still in the early stages of living on the Dark Side. At the very least, seems reasonable that higher pressures would lead to even longer tire life.
At 28psi I wouldn't call it "squishy", just very comfie with really sticky traction when heeled over.

I boosted my Vredenstein from 28 to 30psi yesterday, and felt no difference over 200 miles.
My butt is not highly calibrated, it's just a regular old ordinary butt normally covered by pants.

Let us "dance on the head of the proverbial pin"... there's NO calibration of my posterior, not even once, there never has been and never will be.
That doesn't mean that I don't get riding feedback, and "by the seat of my pants" is an appropriate description for gauging acceleration, stoppong power, tire grip and lean, and such things.
Perhaps this is a distinction without a difference, but calibration is for torque wrenches and industrial equipment and maybe fire extinguishers.
If there ever were a "calibration" of my hiney, I'm sure i wouldn't want it done to me.

I went ahead and got a Bridgestone BT46 in the 120/80/18 and mounted it on my spare rim and like the fit way better then a BT46 130/70/18.

It mounts almost like the stock size 120/70/18 with lots of clearance around the front fender.

The 130/70/18 BT46 is 3/4" wider then my old Michelin Pilot Active 130/70/18 which is why that tire is not a good fit for the Honda ST1300.

How are you liking this front tire so far?

I am liking both the front and rear tires. I have over 2500 miles on them now. I am out on a trip right now and yesterday I put them through some serious Twisties on Hwy 49 in northern California.

I'm still working on wearing out my front tire, the BT46 is in standby waiting it's time.
No issues with the rear Darkie since the failed valve stem a couple weeks back, but that's not strictly a tire issue.
But it sure does affect the tire, when the valve stem doesn't keep all the air where it's supposed to!

Think I'm bound for at least the BFG on the rear sooner vs later. My MC rear is increasingly squared in the center and scalloped on the outer edges. The tires are not even a year old, and not driven for at least 5 Winter months... I'll have to check the mileage but my caveman chronometer says this is wayy to soon for them vs others I've had.

If I was going with my first, I might pick @Sadlsor 's choice, I like the rolled edge. I put 14k on the same and don't want to think about how it handles.
