Thanks to @dduelin for the correction!
In fact, I WAS mis-remembering, and should have said Tucker-Rocky, and not Rocky Mtn.
What's in a Rocky...?

I paid closer to $500 for a pair of M GT5s from Revzilla ST1300 size
I've liked Michelins in the past but had a pair of Dunlop RS3s I was going to put on the Tracer but will try them on the RT and then the T32s... I like to try different tires and get some type of comparisons for my riding.

I'm doing the "Is the GT tire really necessary?"... Not really, hoping to get better Interstate wear and still lean well. I really just need 20% more life out and I'll be happy. Let's call it 10K on the rear. Running out of tread somewhere is fun too, "that tire fits and you have it in stock, I'll take it". As long as it's good in the rain I don't mind trying new ones.

Well, we didn't always have GT tires even on wings... and every year they seem to say 'increased mileage'... if I add all those up I should be getting 30k out of a set but I tend to not do any better than 8k on a heavy bike.

Just remember - when the tire manufacturer says 'improved' usually the only thing that improves is their profits - not the tire mileage!
I'm as cynical as the next guy but in my experience regarding the evolution of the Bridgestone T30 Evo to the T31 the mileage was indeed better and the tires were roughly the same price. Over at Michelin the 2CT+ innovation in the Road 5/6 seems to have solved the strange wear patterns that Pilot Road 4s can exhibit but at a price.

But are they even making the 6GT in ST1300 size? There wasn't when I was looking a couple months ago.

I used Dennis Kirk on April 13th, BS T32 f/r for for my 1100, went with the 70 GT on the front trying to gain higher mileage then the previous Metzler front. $302.84

Tire posts remind me of oil posts :)

I'd have to double check, but I think I put on the OEM on the rear (020?) prob 5k miles ago (looks new) and have slipped on a Shinko on the front maybe 2k miles ago ... that Shinko will last for many miles.

That was a great town!

I’m going with one more P5GT on the rear as it just arrived. @Igofar dialed in my mule about 2k miles ago and I want to get one whole new tire with the bike set up right. It use to cup them weird and dance in the bumps, now it wears even and no dancing, just bump and nothing else.

I know you’re fairly light Will and can get away with the stock shock. I found the wear on the Road 5s on my RT and Michelins in general to be very sensitive to air pressure. What are the shock settings that you are using?

Hi Dave, 6 clicks out , near factory on the the screwdriver. I was able to monitor tire pressure this trip. Cold psi varied with temperature, call it 43. What do you think a normal temperature range while riding should be?
