My rear PR4 GT has about 6k on it and looks great.
And the cost is very high for that kind of miles. :22yikes:Friend has a PR4GT on the rear and it's toast at a little over 6.5K.
Kind of hard to judge them with a worn out rear tire I would think. You're used to those new T30's! How are they holding up?I road an ST with PR4 GT tires yesterday and did not like them. Back tire is just about done and front tire has some life left in them.
So far so good, only about 1000 miles on them.Kind of hard to judge them with a worn out rear tire I would think. You're used to those new T30's! How are they holding up?
Update: Now at 10,000 and looking good.My rear PR4 GT has about 6k on it and looks great.
Are you working too much Mike?So far so good, only about 1000 miles on them.
Are you working too much Mike?
Yes life gets in the way of burning up tires and gas.^^^
1000 miles? Dang, that's RTE mileage. You gots ta get out there and ride.
plus 1 on that, I am at 10,0008000km on my pr4's and they look great, mostly single rider, always keep the pressure up. Will buy them again, love the handling...
Wondering how the heck you are wearing out the side walls of your tires? I've worn the tread down to smooth on many bike and car tires as well and never seen any wear on the sidewall. My last two PR2 rears were gone in 7-8k miles, I then moved to the PR3 which was disappearing so fast I had to replace it in California at 4.5k miles with a PR4GT, it definitely would not have got us home, in all cases the left sidewall was gone and the right not far behind.
I think he means the left and right side tread of the tire. Probably due to lower tire pressures.Wondering how the heck you are wearing out the side walls of your tires? I've worn the tread down to smooth on many bike and car tires as well and never seen any wear on the sidewall.
Yes I do mean the side tread and I'm regularly checking the pressure running 44psi in the rear on a reliable gaugeI think he means the left and right side tread of the tire. Probably due to lower tire pressures.
