The Sports Car Thread...

Ditto for the '67 Sunbeam Alpine that I had for many years before buying the Miata. This picture is circa 1992.

A riding buddy in high school got to occasionally drive his dad's Sunbeam Tiger with the Ford 260CI V8. Knowing what I know now the Tiger probably didn't carry the weight of the V8 and handle as well as the Alpine did but it was one of the coolest cars in my teenage universe.

I seen Mello changed the name of the thread to the sports car thread. So ok i just wanted to add that someday if i get rich and lucky a 2020 Porsche twin turbo 911 will be in my drive way.

In my defense, I was relying on this phrase from your first post.

"(L)et's see your Roadsters!"
Very true so I guess I contradicted myself... therefore, the update makes it less specific and more enjoyable for everyone.

I have a 2002 Miata with a bored out 1.8 to 1.9L and other engine improvements. Previous owner had the engine build by a proffesional builder in Charlotte, and added a supercharger. Its more fun than stock, my buddy has a stock one and it is very noticeable slower.

Had Mr H's take on roof down driving for 7 years.
Prefer the wheels of the early versions to the later ones.
In UK we got the 9,000rpm engine throughout the production run.

Would love to own the S800 but way too expensive nowadays.

there use to be a company that sold monster miata's, they had ford 5.0 mustang motors installed. I though about getting one at the time but had three of those motors in my garage at the time

Lancia Fulvia Coupe I owned back in 1978. 1600cc V4 engine mounted transversely driving the front wheels. It only produced 120 BHP but was a blast to drive. Italian cars had no undercoating protection in those days so it literally rusted away underneath me

Nice cages, people!

Just recently got our /92 Acura Integra back on the road, albeit a dusty road. B18 automatic, (the wife doesn't drive standard). Pretty much OEM. At 235k km, (146k mi) it's by far the best car we've ever owned. Colour is Aztec Pearl Green. Pix doesn't do it justice, sorry.
