Great to hear!
They're added to the original post, large size...very obvious damage.Cool! Is there any obvious damage to the old subharness? Any hint as to why the failure was so abrupt?

I'll see if I can shrink them...I forgot how the earlier ones of the connector made it in there as thumbnails but will try again.Sorry but I don't see them. Are they attached or embedded? Maybe there is a limit on the file size.

Ha ha, Black Mamba and Green Mamba, we have those here in SA, horrid things.A pet snake? Maybe a black or green mamba?![]()
Serves you right for buying an FJR.I am another victim of the mouse invasion. MY ST has pretty much sat in the garage for a year since buying a leftover '16 FJR1300A. Not only did it make a nest on top of the motor and snack on the injector wires (for the second time!), there was another nest inside the air filter! It gnawed holes in the paper element.
I bought a used harness off ebay which I plan to install today.
4 dead mice since discovering the damage. I use a bucket/ soup can trap I disovered on youtube in addition to spring traps near the tires and centerstand.
I am just living with the annoying intermittent FI light now. I am of the opinion that mine specifically may be a climate condition, for want of a better phrase. Reason being it seems that my FI light only kicks in when it is a hot day, this is just a theory, and cant say for sure, but for now it seems to be what I am experiencing. Over Easter I will be doing a round trip of 2000 kilometres, we are slowly heading into Autumn in this part of the world, temps are dropping, plus I will be riding away from the warm coastal climate into thin colder air upcountry. Guess I should be able to put my weird theory to the test, bottom line really is I have just been living with the annoying light, it is temperamental....Don't know whether to start a new thread or just update this one.
Last fall, a week after the harness problem was fixed, I was left stranded on the side of the road when the fuel pump decided to stop working. Decided I'd done enough work on the bike at that point and had it taken to the shop; lots of $$s later, I had a new fuel pump and was good to go.
The only problem I'm currently dealing with is a continual Code 25 (was also present last fall) which, according to my updated manual, indicates a Rt Knock Sensor fail. I have two on order, figure if one's bad the other will be close as well, or at least I'll have a spare on the shelf. I plan to address what I think is a vacuum hose leak (affected code and my cruise control 'falls off' after being set) caused by the same mouse family that ate through the injector harness, and replace the knock sensor (will run through the tests in the manual first to make sure it's not also a wiring problem).
That will hopefully clear up all the codes its currently throwing, and I'll be back to my much-appreciated steady highway speed! Then I might do the full dash-mounted GPS/Phone holder and GPI add-on as well. Would have been nice to have the GPS access while stuck in McLean traffic last week during the tanker overturn on the 495N bridge to MD!
Hope you either find the problem or that it continues to be just an annoyance.I am just living with the annoying intermittent FI light now.
