Oh I didn’t realize you have to take out the tubes to drain. Mine has drain bolts at the bottom.
how is the ride on them now? If you stop the weeping are you able to just guess seepage and top up?

I have risers on the bike, and the design of them covers part of the fork cap. So even if I was just to top up the fluid I've got to remove the handle bars at the minimum before I can remove the cap. On the plus side there'd be no guessing then as with the cap off I could measure it properly.

I'm also debating (quickly) about changing out the fork springs while in there. I'm sure they are OEM and will be past the service limits when checked. The front end certainly could use a revamp as even if not worn, the OEM setup isn't sufficient for how I'm using the bike.

As for the ride now, 2up it was "ok" for the ride home, other than the oil all over the place. It wasn't leaking any more when I got home, but it may have just pumped it all out to an equilibrium point. I got it washed up last night and will inspect it tonight and do a few hard bounce tests in the garage to see if it pumps out more and how bad it pogos.

It may be almost August, but April showers still bring May berries.

Fingers crossed.

Not that I would encourage shortcuts in maintenance... heavier fork oil will by you time for the new springs to come in.

Things are coming together very nicely. Saturday night campfire location has been established. Van service will be available, so those who've enjoyed their wobbly pop around the fire won't be trying to balance a vehicle with only two wheels, as the time comes to return to the Ho-Jo's to fluff up the pillow. Thanks, BT & R !
Does anyone have experience with rustling up a delectable desert in a dutch oven? If only we had Dohboy on hand... or maybe Woodchuck...

Wouldn’t it be proper Canadian speak to say “It happened in some Bush.” Americans refer to small forest as woods while we call it bush, well true in Huron County anyway. We had visitors from Pennsylvania and they where puzzled when I told them that the dog and I liked to go for a walk in the bush at the end of the field on Sunday mornings.

We don't say bush down this way unless you hail from Australia. It's woods. Plus BushSToc wouldn't really make sense. ;)

Yes, it will be real fun! Having ridden quite a lot since my move to New Brunswick, along great roads with awesome scenery, I felt a real need to share. Been thinking for months about hosting a SToc event. Then, I met OBO, and everything fell into place! So come and join us, for a tour of what the fabulous St. John River Valley has to offer - you won't be disappointed!
George, room booked, starting Thursday 17.I'm planning a 2 day arrival X.
