I’m glad you're following up by going and getting checked out, and that you are able to do so. Geeze thats a hard looking hit.
Yeah, i've driven 18 wheel tractor trailer rigs-- 70 feet long, 13 feet tall weighing 80,000 pounds, and a shocking number of people pulled right out in front of me.I work on and big red and white ambulance and people still “ don’t see” us.
Several videos online where people pull out in front of fire trucks that are running all their lights and sirens ...Yeah, i've driven 18 wheel tractor trailer rigs-- 70 feet long, 13 feet tall weighing 80,000 pounds, and a shocking number of people pulled right out in front of me.
And in a way that makes me think they didn't see me, rather than thinking they saw me but they expected me to take evasive action not to kill them.
Today the headache from my concussion is reduced --not gone but better than it was yesterday
Not everyone is the same. Here's one thing I learned from my accident. I was evaluated at the ER for a head injury. The docs found nothing. But it took me 30 days to piece together what happened....it was quite a shock regaining my senses laying flat on my back on the street and looking around and not seeing my motorcycle at first )because it was pushed a good distance away from me) but seeing parts of my motorcycle along with clothes and tools and all the other junk I had in my saddle bags and trunk scattered all around!
I remember seeing my gloves laying a few feet away from me and thinking
"What The **** --did the impact knock my gloves off my hands?? So then I looked at my feet because I wanted to see if the impact knocked me out of my boots too
$2k sounds very low to me. I was thinking more like double that or more. This time of year is bad to value a MC bc they always sell lower at the end of season. Whatever the case, get as much as you can out of them. You shouldn't have to compromise your riding due to someone else's negligence, but you fight for what you deserve going forward.anticipate that the book value on a 2007 ST 1300 that had 53,000 miles would be around two grand --with that kind of money I could either buy a new Chinese moped -scooter, or I'll be shopping for a used bike.
At least it wasn't your socks!!I remember seeing my gloves laying a few feet away from me and thinking

(I have heard of this happening ).
This is the most popular one that I install. It fits above the license plate where the red reflector is. Takes about 15 min to install.I have an emergency vehicle flasher on all of my ST1100s that lights up when I touch the brakes.
Yep that's close to the one I use which is a Whelen LIN3.This is the most popular one that I install. It fits above the license plate where the red reflector is. Takes about 15 min to install.

I don’t think you can wire a strobe to just one brake switch as there is just one positive wire (green/yellow ????) to both brake lights. Either switch energizes the brake lights. The two extra solid-on taillights/ running lights that I added to the back WERE working, and on.
But my ambulance/fire truck red LED strobe light, which I rigged up myself to a momentary contact switch up on the front brake lever, was not working at the time. The wiring in the top box for that flashing brake light got PULLED LOOSE by a water bottle that flopped around in there when my bike tipped over while trying to put it up on the center stand a month prior.
I'm not entirely sure I would have been squeezing the front brake lever anyway. I often rest my hands by my sides at long red lights.
And my D.I.Y. flashing brake light wasn't wired to the bike's factory wiring harness or the rear brake switch, just the front one.
