I bought a used Wilbers shock , with the compression tank on flexible hose . Two adjustment screws on the tank. Tell me I did good . Any one have suggestion to where to mount the tank ? Or a photo. I hadn't thought about that . Thanks !

I run Wilbers on all of my ST1100s but I do not have the 'remote' stuff ones since my riding weight stays the same.
Good piece of kit for sure and places to have them rebuilt if necessary.
Could the tank fit in the tailpiece?

UP, I don't know -I haven't got it in my hands yet . We will see.

Won't quite work for a ST1100 unless you wanted to cut a hole in the side panel.
Well , thats not going to happen. Might be a spot behind the right panel or grab rail. It dosen't have a hand adjuster knob , just the red and blue sett screws. Will just have to see, when it gets here.

@sirepair (he has a Hagon with an adjuster on his ST1100P) mounted his adjuster on the grab rail IIRC.

Wilbers came today. What a beauty . What now ? Just try it I Guess. Wilbers (video) don't want you to touch those adjuster screws.

Can you ask the previous owner where the reservoir was located?
It's a lovely looking piece of kit. Would be a shame to hide it, but may also stop the curious from twiddling your knobs...

Not a bad idea ! He sendt some photos ,of the canister mount , tucked in the tail. I also found a Wilbers set up "guide". They got a little wrinkled on the way home.

Nice ! What does it do ? adjust preload on the spring ?

Update for 2026 : The Wilbers shock went on nice. I've never changed a shock that easy before. The can got mounted in the tail ,line runs between the panel and frame rail . Still room tools and small stuff back there. New well used Corbin seat , puts me a bitt lower on the ST than the RDL . Feels good static. And a new battery. NO test ride ,yet . And still haven't pulled the forks for a rebuild , but I have plan.
