Not, not related to the VRod engine. It’s a much more advanced design, 1250cc, 150 hp, DOHC, variable valve timing, liquid cooled, 4 valves/cylinder, etc. they’re racing them in the Moto America Super Hooligans series and doing pretty well with them. The engine seems good but the bikes were plagued with a lot of electronic gremlins initially. Don’t know if they’ve cleared all that up now or not.Is that the same engine that used to be in the VRod? That was a good engine..
Pretty sure they're using the design from the V-Rod for the barrels, pistons, heads. Not sure about the lower end. Not, not related to the VRod engine. Load it up with extra shiny gee gaws and make it look like a 1950s HD and maybe it will sell to the faithful. It may work. Lots of Adventure bike riders have no desire to go off road. Adventure touring bikes have pretty much replaced sport touring so the market is there and the HD faithful can now have it both ways. Almost said the best of both worlds then I realized that doesn't apply here.
Plus…..gotta have some of those neighbor hater pipes on it.Load it up with extra shiny gee gaws and make it look like a 1950s HD and maybe it will sell to the faithful.
nah, just 25kMy old Schwinn has better wind protection than that. Luggage extra? If so, then make that $30K out the door.
$27,200 with luggage. Still cheaper than an RT though and almost exactly twice as much as a new NT1100 with luggage.
but not 30.... lol$27,200 with luggage.
