There is no cooling fan but there is a toothed gear that bites fingers but it's easy to fabricate a gear guard or cover. Pictures in post #8 and #17.If you take the cover off the Slime pump, don't you have figure out a way (usually a tie wrap) to hang it so the cooling 'fan' blades don't bite you or the ground? Or am I remembering the wrong pump?

Always good to have a hand pump as a backup and/or C02 cartridges. Check your electric pump before each riding season by trying to fill a tire. I discovered the hard way that the rubber around the chuck had deteriorated and wasn’t air tight.Anybody ever uses a hand pump?
Yeah, like their small and lightweight...Anybody ever uses a hand pump?
And check that the tube of glue for the gummy worms has not been opened and/or is dried up. Slime sells just the glue tube with a handful of rubber patches.Always good to have a hand pump as a backup and/or C02 cartridges. I tested this compressor today. A bit awkward fitting to an OEM St 1300 rear wheel valve stem, yet doable.I got this the other day.
