WoodSToc 2 - Aug 15-18, 2024 - Mazerolle Settlement, NB

Thursday is arrival day. If you find yourself in the Woodstock area early, or the day before, get in touch - maybe I can run you around in a circle or something! And btw, you need to adjust your schedule so you can ride with the group on Saturday too.
Unfortunately, work will need me back on Monday and doing the 1300 km back on Sunday just seems a little much for me these days. :(

Some truck driver! It should be doable on a bike, but tedious, I'll admit. 1130 km for me from Woodstock where I live, to Hillier, Ontario where my brother lives. Done it multiple times in one shot on the bike, and in the car. The trick is to get a very early start! And you gain an hour as you cross (westbound) into Quebec, with the time zone change.
But come and go as you see fit, and have a great time!

For anyone there on Thursday you can join us for dinner at our dome, I will get some sausages and buns along with condiments and maybe even some chocolates. I can get bottled water but I will leave the adult beverage of your choice up to you. Starting to really look forward to going, got a new rear tire on Friday and I think the bike is ready to head to the coast.

Thanks Gerhard, for offering to get folks started on the right foot and with a happy belly!

This event will include feasts for the hungry, and especially feasts for the eyes! The rides won't be about going out to play in traffic, but rather about sightseeing. The natural topography of the region, together with acres of potatoes, create memorable bike rides. Lots of interesting stops too, always good for a stretch and a washroom break.
I'll lead on Friday, but Saturday a better man will have the honour, someone more familiar with a different area.

nope, a local motorcycle shop owner
Actually, he's a top sales guy at that bike shop. I recently confirmed with him, and he's ready, willing, and eager, to show us around on Saturday, the 17th. Local knowledge - always the best kind!
And - he's the guy that put me aboard a new Tenere 700 a couple months ago, taking my RT as a trade. It's still there, as of last week. Only 7000 km, perfect for Gerhard!

Although I hate admitting that my body is aging the realist in me would have to admit that a smaller bike would be the more treasonable choice.

@Mellow Now you did it....

the first meme from OBO this year. I'm personallyt disappointed... Opps an extra T!!!
Sheila and I will be in PEI Tue and Wed, Off to New Brunswick sometime on Thur. We will looking to squat our "gypsy mobile" between two domes for the weekend. Then we have a few days to tour around afterward. I'm hoping to bring my bride to Maine and New Hampshire as she has not been to either. I'm hoping someone will provide guidance to us on where to go and wherer to camp for a few days. Her first time on a motorcycle trip, I have to be very gentle with her. Happy motorcycle wife, happy motorcycle husband. I'm sure OBO can make a meme out of dat.

There is never a shortage of people willing to tell me where to go :confused:.

It will be good to see the two of you again, Cherie and I will arrive on Wednesday and I will bbq some tube steaks so if you want to join us that would be great.
