Helmets yellow helmet

I like the idea so much I bought one with the check I got for damaged gear, from the insurance company after my crash.

Brand new 2012 Shoei. New, even brighter yellow for 2012!

Yellow works for me, now if it would just protect me from myself.:

2012 range? It does not show on the Shoei web site, I actually like the colour, is this available in the US only?

I'm waiting to try on a Shark Evoline 2 - I like the idea of being able to ride a modular helmet with the chin-bar in the "up" position - I just hope the Evoline will fit my head.

The new Nolan N104 is supposed to be able to be ridden with the chin bar locked open; although I would never ever do that. It has 2 latches for security. That will probably be my next helmet, and it comes in several white and yellow combinations. Bones told me the white stands out very well at distance too. I would like to see more Hi-Viz choices for all clothing and accessories.

The new color for 2012 is Brilliant Yellow, PN# 01-182

The old color was Axis yellow.

Shoei does not show the new color on their web-site but, a good dealer should have the new 2012 literature.

Thanks for the info and the link to the previous post, comapring the old to new the difference is considerable.

I'd rather have loud colors than loud pipes. I used to wear a black Joe Rocket suit with a flat black helmet. Now I need a bright Aerostich suit to go with the new helmet.

I need one of those to match the hi-viz jacket I wear. Great idea.

That was my motivating idea. Figured my fat head stuck up that much higher than my jacket.

I saw a rider coming at me in the opposite direction with a hi viz helmet and, it really stood out first compared to his jacket.

Interesting, the Shoei ad did not show yellow as an option for the Neotec when I hit their site and watched the video...

My 'Brilliant Yellow' Neotec should be here soon. It's going to replace my old Caberg Justissimo modular. I'll post riding impressions after I have some.

+1 on either the white or greenish/yellow.
Not sure which stands out more.. maybe white if you're wearing hiviz jacket?

And add some retro reflective tape for riding at night.

I have two hi-vis helmets (Scorpion 900 and 500 oil) and a black one (Scorpion 500). The black one rarely gets worn, I only have it for Saturday afternoon trips across town and Sunday summer BBQs with friends. And my jackets have the hi-vis incorporated into them, as well. Chicks may not dig the hi-vis, but I've never had luck hand signaling someone onto a date in the car next to me anyways. Maybe it's my approach.

It's really too bad so many people are concerned with how they look out there, putting that above lowering the risk of not being seen. The odds are stacked against us the moment we get on our bikes. Guys will come at me from the other direction wearing ninja black and give me a wave, I rarely even see them until the very last moment. My first thoughts really aren't how cool they look.

My experience is that other bikers could really care less what you look like, it's my workmates that affectionately poke fun at me the most. That's ok, they know I'm still cooler than they are.

I think my yellow RF1100 looks great. But then I only see the inside surface of the shield. If I cared what I looked like, my 'crafter would not be yellow either. :)

Never overkill when it comes to being seen.

I DO think white is better but who cares what i think... LOL

I've recently been "informed" by my lovely wife who tolerates my motorcycle obsession, that my next helmet "WILL BE" one of those Hi-Viz Yellow ones.
:well1:
