White may have been the colour of choice at one time, but since the advent of hi-viz, I personally think it`s in No. 2 spot. I`ve had too many comments from other riders who say at distance, the yellow beats all. I`ve also switched from an all-yellow Airglide jacket to a mostly black with yellow stripes jacket (Olympia Viper which you can`t get any more), and get lots of comments on that too. In other words, white and hi-viz are made more visible when there is a lot of contrast in what people see (also true for any colour really).
